Based out of Bloomington, MN, The Nerdery is a custom software design and development shop, determined on becoming the best place in the world for nerds to work. What started off as 3 developers with an idea in 2003, the company is now over 500 nerds strong today. I did this by seeking out the most talented individuals, getting them in the door there, and ultimately setting them up for success. I truly advocated for candidates, and made it my own personal mission to represent and support them throughout the whole interview/hiring process. Was able to reduce company’s delinquent account by $300k within the first year of employment.• Learned to be detailed with legal documentation. Was an integral part of the sales order entry and invoicing process. Revised all sales order documentation before entering it into our internal systems. Also streamlined the invoicing process to maximize efficiency.• Managed A/P for the entire company. Reviewed, processed, and printed checks for all invoices/bills and expense reimbursements for the company on a weekly basis. Made sure that The Nerdery was in good standing with all of its vendors.• Gained experience in managerial reporting. Generated and maintained a weekly trending A/R report sent to senior management and executive members. • Improved ability to work in team environments. Trained two employees on company's accounting processes.• Honed ability to adapt and flourish. Took on many responsibilities within the accounting department, ultimately helping the company be more profitable. Was recognized several times by colleagues and upper management for being helpful, knowledgeable, dependable, and friendly.

• Collected payment on assigned delinquent accounts by reviewing documentation, contacting customers/clients by telephone and/or written correspondence, and arranging repayment schedules in order to minimize loss to the organization.• Gained managerial experience by being responsible for two repossession companies that spanned over ten states.• Honed communication skills by operating in a 6-person call center that handled all of US Bank’s repossession matters.

• Developed strong business and customer building skills, as well as working cohesively in teams.• Conducted numerous cash transactions that varied from receiving and distributing currency, processing loan payments, account maintenance, and exchanging foreign currency.• Developed a strong attention to detail in order to effectively complete transactions, all while ensuring customer confidentiality and consistently enhancing customer experience.• Performed administrative tasks including, but not limited to, answering customer inquiries, inner-office mailing, and branch opening and closing procedures.• Helped the improve branch sales, and received The Most Improved Branch award in 2008.
