I used to be an Army officer and remember the message of "always take care of your troops". That message has stuck with me as I moved into the corporate space as a team leader, operations manager, and project manager. Always ensuring folks feel included, respected, and inspired to accomplish things that they thought might not be possible. Now I'm seeking a career change into social work to help veterans and their families as a clinical social worker with a focus on mental health. I'm currently enrolled at Simmons University.I'm a multi-faceted professional and my specialty is helping teams and individuals achieve their goals. I do this through active listening, instilling a sense of purpose and motivation, identifying problems, and coordinating resources to help solve those problems. When I hear " we've tried that in the past it didn’t work," I'm the individual that will leverage a growth mindset and get the right people together to improve a team, a process, or a program to ensure we are getting better, together. What's unique about me and my approach is my ability to remain calm under pressure, promoting psychological safety, and not being afraid to speak up when work isn't driving value for the team, clients, or organization.I even enjoy problem solving outside of work as odd as that sounds. Trying to figure out where the fish are on the lake or coming up with creative ways to entertain and distract my two English Bulldogs from destroying the house.Specialties: | Resiliency | Integrity | Process Improvement | Mental Health | Team Leadership | Public Speaking | People Management | Project Management | Operations Management | Leadership Development | Problem Solving |
