Supporting Kids Foundation is an all volunteer organization that helps local Kansas City families who are battling with cancer. No one budgets for cancer, so when treatment starts there is not only the physical, emotional and clinical challenges, but also the financial ones. SKF works with Children's Mercy Hospital to identify families in need. Our organization has paid mortgages, car payments, rent, maintenance bills, utilities and, unfortunately, funeral bills.In addition to founding the organization and leading it through incorporation and establishment of our 501c3 status, my responsibilities have included establishing the donation request process with Children's Mercy, event management and execution, fundraising and donation disbursement. This organization exists through the kindness, generosity and passion of the great folks in the Kansas City metro area. It has taken everyone to make it what it is today.SKF has helped over 500 families and donated approximately $800,000. $0.92 of every dollar donated goes to families. The other $0.08 goes to fundraising expenses. No board member is paid.

Grew Cloud Sherpas application development practice by 4x in year one. Led the team that developed the first application development framework for Python on Google App Engine, called Ferris. Led the effort to OpenSource Ferris (ferrisframework.org). Additionally, helped enterprise customers extend the Google Apps platform to include customer intranets, doc mgt systems and digital asset management systems. Success Example: Helped a customer eliminate the need for an expensive Xerox document management system and replace it with a customer solution living on Google's Cloud Platform reducing annual cost by over $100k.
