Dr. Lu's responsibility includes the evaluation of existing designs and proposed modifications and enhancements to the algorithms and circuits.A Sigma Delta A/D and D/A design, which is used for audio playback and storage. Dr. Lu was responsible for the architecture design evaluation and some Matlab simulation and verification.A DAB RF IC design consultation. This chip supports the European DAB standard, which covers three frequency bands. Dr. Lu's responsibility was to evaluate the system architecture design and critical components specification. It includes the Low Noise Amplifier gain control and SNR requirement analysis, filtering requirements, and interface to the digital processing units.

Dr. Lu was the principal founder of Tellus. He set up the company in both Science Based Industrial Park in Hsinchu Taiwan and Fremont California. In 1998, the Taiwan operation was acquired by local investors and Dr. Lu focused his effort in managing the California operation.Dr. Lu served, at different times, as the company's CEO, President, and CTO, responsible for general corporate management and for defining TTI's technology strategy. In addition, he has also been actively involved in core technologies development and product development.Tim led the effort for the system design for a wireless packet data based credit card transaction system. This effort leads to the filing of a number of patents and systems installed in the filed within a short period of time.
