Experienced senior financier with a career which specialises in relationship management, developing new business and fostering a broad network. I have international experience through working in North America, Europe, Middle East and Asia. Adapting to vastly different cultures was a prerequisite requirement and has helped me cope well with new and diverse challenges.I'm passionate about the positive impact working with young people facing inequality can have on their life chances. Whilst governance is unlikely to excite many people, my experiences enable me to bring constructive challenge whilst seeking the most impactful outcomes at the same time as meeting legal and regulatory requirements. Being a public speaker in both a work and social environment, I have worked hard on my communication skills. This enables me to manage conversations effectively, thereby searching for constructive solutions with clients or internally, to deliver mutually acceptable outcomes. I'm highly regarded by clients and colleagues thanks to a personable character, high levels of personal motivation and commitment. I still play golf and go to cricket with "ex" clients years after my working relationship has finished. I have a love of cricket and that having played the game at high level for over 30 years, I have learned very quickly that success isn't about luck, but requires hard work and dedication, which I still use today in business. Winning is certainly much more fun but for me, you can still work hard and be nice.
