Mr. Meilander is responsible for developing a near and long term vision for the technical product line and the strategies and tactics to implement that vision for Strategic Technology Enterprises, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of STERIS Corporation. He leads new product development, market development including markets new to STERIS, marketing communications and product training to achieve global sales and marketing objectives, while driving organic growth of the organization. This position is an integral leadership role within the Defense and Industrial business.

Mr. Meilander is a project manager for Strategic Technology Enterprises, Inc. (STE), a subsidiary of STERIS Corporation. His responsibilities include management of defense and aerospace projects.He served as the Principal Investigator on a DTRA funded effort to evaluate the integration of hot air and mVHP® decontamination technologies.Mr. Meilander played a key role in the management, design and implementation of mVHP systems for building and vehicle decontamination demonstrations. He served as STE's chief engineer for the onsite efficacy testing of the mVHP systems at Edgewood Chemical Biological Center (ECBC) and other venues.

Mr. Meilander had 8 years of experience in the development, design, and management of capital projects for the metals industry throughout the world. While living in Germany, he created and managed engineering team to complete projects throughout Europe. In addition to the engineering of industrial furnace applications, Mr. Meilander has held positions in international sales, marketing, research and development, and project management.
