Part of the Sales Support Team: making offers, creating and follow-up of contracts, signing up to and make sure that we provide all necessary data for tenders. Making use of SAP to maintain pricing structures.

As a member of the Sales Support team, my job is to implement correct prices for our customers (clients ranging from hospitals to schools and other big institutions). Keeping balance between the companies income and competitive pricing: a challenging task.Regularly, big clients publish tenders for a wide range of food products for an extended period of time. Matching their needs with our large inventory, calculating prices, providing samples, providing the necessary legal documents: it requires quite some planning, some sense of logic, and teamwork (consulting fellow colleagues and representatives).Back in early 2016, the Sales support team switched from AS400 to a more php-oriented system. We (me including) got the chance to give our inputs to be able to work more efficiently and with lower error rate.

Every once in a while, I teach mathematics to students outside office hours. Depending on the needs of the student, I talk about several subjects and help with exercises. I do mathematics in general, but statistics is my specialty.Several reasons I took this challenge:- my desire to teach- adding to my social skills- earning some extra money for my future new appartment- revisiting the stuff I studied from 2005 to 2010

ABN AMRO Bank Belgium has an office in Antwerp in the Diamond area. I worked there as an assistant at the D&JC department: Diamond & Jewelry Clients, formerly known as International Diamond & Jewelry Group (ID&JG). My task was to assist in preparing, processing and checking the quarterly reportings. These include amongst others:- CAAML Progress- KRI (key risk indicators)- Opened and Closed Clients- US Persons- Natural PersonsApart from that, I assisted in drafting several internal documents.

Vanas nv is a company that takes care of the distribution of several products of several hundreds of suppliers. To get an overview for both clients, suppliers and internal staff, a catalogue system is present and has to be maintained.Representatives of Vanas meet with suppliers and come up with a selected range of products. My job was to put all these data into the internal CMS system (Content Management System) xCS.content via CSV-files. This concerns lots of technical data like dimensions, so great care was necessary. If anything was missing or seemed incorrect, I contacted the supplier for extra information.Of course, the part entering the catalogue should resemble the rest of the catalogue in terms of formatting and detail. Vanasoft nv is a sub-division of Vanas nv, that takes care of software solutions for storage systems. Vanas Engineering nv and its partner, Hänel, build physical storage systems like cabinets and elevator systems. A team of approximately 15 programmers creates software to operate these systems and adds features like security, advanced planning and ticketing.As a project coordinator, I played an important role in client communication and resource planning. Communication involves 1st line helpdesk, final communication with clients about scheduling, and providing instructions for projects. Resource planning involves installations and interventions at clients, and internal services.

Conducting research in mathematical and economical subjects (more specific: robust and sparse regression techniques), and assisting and teaching lectures (e.g. Managerial Statistics).Necessary skills: Analytical and abstract thinking patterns, mathematical background (especially statistics), long-term planning, educational skills.(have been researcher for only one year)
