Royal Air Force Odiham

Responsibilities included managing and leading events establishing process improvements and overall efficiencies, utilising LEAN methodology. Identified cash savings in excess of £1.5 million in the areas of spares management, waste reduction and staff reductions.Other functions included project management of improvement initiatives, recruitment of civilian personnel, leadership of Logistics Squadron and Station LEAN Team and career management of RAF and civilian personnel.Ensuring standards of work were maintained, co-ordination and implementation of unit spares management solutions. Providing consistent and coherent reports to senior station staff.

Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton

Responsible for the Inventory Optimisation initiative ensuring timely delivery of services and assets. Ensured procurement was executed to exacting standards of the initiative, realising benefits and improved spares management process.Undertook production of the ‘critical spares model’ for Chinook ensuring the required funding was identified and secured in a time conducive to the overall optimisation initiative. Provided regular briefs to senior management detailing all significant events and issues for escalation.

Royal Air Force College Cranwell

Responsible for the coordination and management of course members, planning and execution of off unit visits, organisation of charity events and social functions. Providing regular briefings and presentations to senior staff. Ensured delivery of office management functions, task prioritisation and problem solving within a demanding environment, including support to quality assurance processes health and safety. Successfully completed academic and practical training in fuel and lubricant management. Additional exposure included acquisition and purchasing, asset control, accounting, financial management, interviewing techniques and line management techniques.

Royal Air Force College Cranwell

Responsibilities included personnel management, coordination of Squadron activities, office management, motivation and leadership of personnel in field conditions. Duties included preparation of written briefs for senior staff, management of demonstrations, and delivery of presentations to all ranks and grades utilising effective oral and written communication. Additionally responsible for the planning, management and execution of a battle field tour to Holland. Also assisted in the organisation of winter survival and adventurous training in Scotland for section personnel.
