Key achievements:Rapid project delivery:Successful major, very high quality, product development and releases in April, July and October 2014, May, August and October 2015 and March 2016 with a small team and remote product owners. The AFSA Scrum team is high performing, fast at delivery, quality focused and has proven themselves under pressure time and agaHigh levels of complexity and integration were involved, as described below.in.As scrum master for the in-house development team, I've played a major role in introducing agile development processes to AFSA.2014 has been a year of major achievement, with two rapidly delivered, highly successful deployments. The first in early April came about as a result of legislative changes which required the team to modify a legacy system with a rusty code-base, to facilitate payments and deliver a suite of reports. This was achieved in 8 weeks from commencement to deployment. The subsequent release successfully delivered an online form, which authenticated external users without a login, integrated with the CRM tool, BPoint, Neuron enterprise service bus, Frevvo form builder and internal user management tools. At the same time the team was responsible for improving infrastructure and ensuring security compliance. The form was the first in an SOA development and therefore held a greater level of complexity than a standalone build. It was delivered in July '14 with a little over 2 months dev time, by a team of four developers and one working on the build processes. There were no upfront requirements available to the team.Bug rates in development and post release have extremely low.The agile processes have enabled the team to work with business owners located in another city, to produce two fantastic results, especially when the newness of the team is considered.
