My last role was developing batch and interactive applications on the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne platform. From 2005-2008, interfaced with customers to stabilize, optimize, and enhance our B2B ordering site that had been developed by a third party on ASP.NET, Visual Basic.NET, SQL Server, and SQL Server Reporting Services. Used automation software and VBA in Excel to create an elegant alternative ordering process for old-school B2B customers.Overall, my personal priorities included reducing expenses whenever possible by maximizing assets, streamlining manual processes, and seizing any and every opportunity to cross-train our team. One favorite project was assembling a four-hour, comprehensive orientation for all new employees, titled "What is JD Edwards?" Show less

Computer Help Desk Specialist
Provided front-line user support/training and second-tier PC systems support for 250+ computer users. Leave it to an insurance company to teach me everything I'll ever need to know about MS-DOS, Windows 3.11, Novell Netware, and Unix.More importantly, I learned the meaning of conflict. This place was rife with it. I don't miss it at all.

Preparing for our AS400 to be down for the weekend due to an upgrade, I was commissioned to build a patient registration system in Microsoft Access that was easy for the clerks to use but perfectly duplicated the printed forms so patient check-in would not be interrupted.
