Many years of experience in translational data science research and developing novel optimization & machine learning methodology. My postdoctoral research at the CWI was dedicated to multi-objective, gradient-based optimization and machine learning algorithms for image processing. Our research group at Maastricht University pioneered the use of privacy-preserving federated machine learning in clinical cancer research, building a global network of collaborating institutes.
