My responsibilities were in system infrastructure and application maintenance and upgrades of Airbus A380 spoiler project CAD and PLM systems (Cadds, SAMCef, Patran, Nastran and Airbus Gilda systems running on HPUX and SGI Irix operating systems). In the implementation project of a new generation PLM systen for Patria I got user and administration experience on Catia V5 and Enovia LCA PLM environments.It was fascinating to work in aeroplane engineering project and learn how this kind of large scale project is managed. Also testing of different PLM systems and implementation of Enovia LCA was great opportunity to learn the newest technologies.

I Worked as:- Forestry harvester development engineer- Pro/E 3D CAD implementation project manager globally for 4 sites with over 100 designers. All sites were transferred from ME10 and ANVIL5000 2D CAD to Pro/E in about two years. All legacy data, roughly 200000 drawings were translated and the legacy systems were turned off. - Pro/Intralink product data managament implementation project manager- Team member or leader in many interesting and creative projects, e.g. top-down design fully applied in mechanism and structural design of booms, harvester heads and harvester/forwarder base machines- "early adopter" of 3D electrical cabling harness design using PTC's Pro/Cabling and the integrated circuit design tool Pro/Diagram for 1270D harvester in 1999 (it was possible then, but we were too early with that... the harness consists over thousand parts and really was too much for the 300MHz Pentium PC CAD workstations :) Opportunity to work at Timberjack was a very fortunate thing in my professional career. Especially the design experience we got using Pro/E from version 18 has been really valuable. Pro/E at that time really stood out in powerfulness but was different and considered difficult to learn. That forced us to truely learn the thinking process in capturing the design intent to solve a particular problem. It has helped a lot, as the thinking process in building a robust design has not changed that much.

I gathered experience on using and administering Catia V4 3D-CAD system and IBM AIX and HPUX operating systems.I was very lucky to work in such professional manufacturing company with highly professional colleagues. The facilities at Sisu Axles host wide selection of CNC machines and awesome technicians.
