The Secretary should be a good communicator, maintain confidentiality on relevant matters and have the ability to delegate tasks and supervise others. Amongst the Secretary's tasks are to prepare agendas, control and distribute minutes, receive and disseminate correspondence to and from the committee etc.

This required liaising with key stakeholders, oversight of and involvement in data collection, analysis and write-up of key findings, management and mentoring of junior researchers, responsibility for disseminating research findings appropriately and meeting set budgets and deadlines. 3. International research projects in Kiribati and Cook Islands funded by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Secretariat of the Pacifc Community (SPC). This involved appropriate coordination and liaising with funders, donors and key Pacific country stakeholders; international travels for in-country consultations and writing and presentation of reports and national strategies/plans. 4. Engaging appropriately and professionally with project stakeholders and clients to ensure continual communication and feedback is maintained on the progress of the project. 5.
