Internal ProjectsThe project aimed at ensuring the continuous operation and efficient management of various internal SQL Server instances and their corresponding databases. This included tasks such as routine maintenance, performance monitoring, security enhancements, and troubleshooting to guarantee optimal functionality and data integrity across these server environments.Responsibilities• Configured new servers, migrating data and settings from old to new ones• Created users/roles, control security/privileges • Created/restored backups, rebuilding indexes, shrinking database and log files• Created SQL Agent jobs• Deployed new database changes• Monitored SQL processes on DB servers• Detected and dealt with issues (performance, replication, low disk space, etc.)

Lifetouch Inc. is formed by multiple divisions using different technology stacks and working with completely different software. The definition of Customer Subject and business processes are different across the divisions and there was no universal business key we could use for bouncing from Data Warehouse back to Source Systems. Bluestem Brands, Inc. is a multi-brand retailer, delivering a wide selection of products and shop-at-home convenience through e-commerce and direct marketing via the Fingerhut and Gettington.com brands. ETL process consists of several steps and tens of databases are used for staging purposes, making data flow structured, well-organized, supportable, and scalable on its way to integrated data warehouse. A data warehouse covers tens of databases and stores several terabytes of data. The main purpose of building the data warehouse is to analyze data. ETL transformations and cleaning data are implemented using SSIS. Data analysis and forecasts are performed using a fast Netezza server. It consists of hundreds of configurable modules and is used for the unification of business processes within a large holding, consisting of several private companies.Responsibilities• Developed the architecture of the database part used for order processing• Developed the architecture and design of new modules and supported existing ones• Programmed stored procedures of order analysis and processing• Created new reports and modified existing ones
