At PBL my research focuses on the intersection of environment and international development. In addition, my work is directed at strengthening the science-policy interface between PBL and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Rathenau Insitute studies developments in science and technology, and their implications for society and policy. My work at the Rathenau Institute centered on the geography of innovation, analysing where innovation in the Netherlands is concentrated, and to what extent 'new' modes of innovation (e.g. co-creation) are taking place. I primarily worked on.

Researcher sustainable development. I worked on evaluations of two development programmes, one on WASH in schools and one improving the safety of digital activists. I also co-authored a study aimed at practitioners into recent Dutch development policy, especially looking at what the policy changes mean for relevant stakeholders in the field. Additionally.

My responsibilities included both desk research (finding and synthesizing (academic) literature into written reports) and interviews, with all output intended for an audience consisting primarily of practitioners. I worked on the EU FP7 Demoware project for Deliverable 5.2 on public involvement & acceptance of water reuse, as well as two KWR projects on.

I assisted high school students as a tutor in understanding their homework and prepare for tests. Subjects I covered included maths, physics, geography and history.
