Timothy Afolabi is a Senior Fullstack Developer, DevOps Engineer, and Social Innovator. I turn ideas into successful businesses. I am a professional member (Membership ID 7359044) of the Association for Computing Machinery - the world's largest educational and scientific computing society. I am currently the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at PressPayNg, a startup I birthed with other great minds led by the founder and CEO, Abiola Metilelu. The startup does one thing: provide education funds to students and parents in Nigeria; and ensure no Nigerian student drop out of school due to lack of funds. We inspired the current Student Loan Act of Nigeria’s National Assembly.I had my first degree (B.Tech) in Computer Science from the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) in the year 2014 with several awards and scholarships from notable companies in Nigeria including MTN Foundation Scholarship Award for three consecutive years (2012,2013,2014), Etisalat Nigeria Merit Award and First Bank (Convocation) Award for being the 2nd Best Graduating Student of the Computer Science Department, FUTA.Timothy is a social innovator. His passion for seeing Nigeria and Africa work has led him to develop ideas that drive change and influence policy decisions by the government. Together with Edmund Obilo, He co-founded My Oyo Citizens App, an app developed in 2019 and has been responsible for a shift in the way citizens report issues and access data around government activities across the 33 LGAs in Oyo State Nigeria. I have strong professional experience working with broadcast organizations from radio to TV. I develop solutions and deploy engines that power their streaming and radio automation.I am a very vast programmer with experience cutting across EdTech, FinTech, and PropTech ecosystems. I am a highly principled individual with a strong belief in integrity, honesty, and compassion. I am fun to work with having managed several teams across multiple organizations with success.My hobbies are listening to good music, reading and meditating.
