Da Vinci Engineering and Consulting is a new Product Development Company located in Oshkosh, WI. Founded by two individuals who have been in the Product Engineering field for over 30 years and who have developed a proven track record of taking on large product design challenges and delivering them on-time and to-budget. Co-founded Progressive Engineering Inc. (PEI) 1997 with three partners and started as the VP of Engineering. In Oct. of 1999, after PEI ventured into the rapid prototyping market by purchasing an SLA 5000 machine ($650,000), the company faced some financial issues and personnel problems. Tim took over as President of PEI at that time. Tim spearheaded the strategy to deal with current and future business challenges. As a Senior Applications Specialist for PRO/ENGINEER solid modeling software he was involved in virtually every aspect of the implementation and utilization of PRO/E in conjunction with complimentary technologies and concurrent engineering strategies in a production environment.He had noteworthy contributions in the following areas; implementation, bench marking hardware and software, standards, strategy, R.O.I., metrics, complementary software, P.D.M., rapid prototyping, reverse engineering, customized company specific training, management seminars, user assistance and support, on line user manual etc..He was chartered with customizing and implementing 6 basic and advanced Pro/E courses and trained over 130 users at Mercury Marine, Mercruiser, Zebco and vendors.Fifty percent of Tim's time was spent as a Senior Project Designer working on specialty projects throughout the company involving the design and building of high level modifiable PRO-E models of complex mechanical systems for 2-stroke and 4-stroke outboards, personal water craft, and stern drives and their major components and assemblies. Including parts like cylinder heads, crankcase, and complex die cast housings, etc.

Tim was involved with the layout, design and detailing of nearly every type of component associated with small h.p. air cooled, over-head valve, over-head cam gasoline and diesel engines.In addition to his engineering duties, he was also the CAD/CAM Database Administrator. This included hardware, software and user support for 22 R &D users on the ICEM DDN CAD/CAM software. He was the primary support person for training, trouble shooting, debugging, and user assistance, as well as maintaining and approval of all departmental CAD/CAM hardware and software. Specific CAD/CAM experience included 2D design, 3D design, 3D surfacing, and 3-axis N/C programming of a Bridgeport CNC mill.
