My main task as the General Manger is to ensure that the guests’ expectations were exceeded. A great way to evaluate this is utilizing online reviews and social media. Being able to connect to the guests in a timely manner is challenging but an important task that allowed Apple Hostels to remain as one of the top 5 hostels in America. I am in charge of a team of receptionists which involves hiring, training, payroll and scheduling. I have successfully managed the hostel which has resulted in high rankings within the US hostelling community.

I worked under the Director of Marketing and Publicity, Melissa Geller. The year I interned became a triumphant year for QUIRK, they released their first book to make it on the New York Times Bestseller list, Pride, Prejudice & Zombies. I worked with Melissa to utilize social media to connect to the target audiences and media outlets that would spread the word of PP&Z and the other releases that year.
