Timothy K. Branson is a partner in the firm’s Southern California offices. A member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group, Mr. Branson defends corporate clients against high stakes class action cases and complex business disputes in both state and federal courts. With 20 years of experience, Mr. Branson’s practice has primarily focused on defending clients against consumer class actions and government enforcement actions alleging unlawful, unfair, and fraudulent business practices under the Unfair Competition Law (Business & Profession, §17200 et seq.) and Consumer Legal Remedies Act (Civil Code, §1770 et seq.), false advertising claims under the False Advertising Law (Business & Professions Code, §17500 et seq.), and claims against retailers for violations of California’s Song-Beverly Credit Card Act (Civil Code, §1747 et seq.). Mr. Branson also defends cases alleging violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). Over the past decade, Mr. Branson has also developed expertise in the handling of issues related to California’s Mobilehome Residency Law, providing advice and counseling to mobilehome and RV park owners and managers throughout California on the handling of day-to-day legal and park management issues. Mr. Branson has also successfully defended mass tort litigation related to mobilehome parks and several class actions regarding park closures and related claims for relocation benefits. Mr. Branson's practice includes trial and appellate representation of his clients in state courts and federal courts, and he represents a number of high profile clients in California-based litigation, including municipalities, private corporations and publicly traded Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 companies. In 2012, Mr. Branson was voted by his peers in San Diego County to receive the Top Attorney distinction in Corporate Litigation.
