I am a behavioral neuroscientist and author with 15+ years of experience in conducting and publishing independent and collaborative research while working at the University of Chicago and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. From the initial conception of an experiment to the final publication of the research, I remain motivated to ensure the science is accurate and the message is clear and impactful. My work has spanned human and animal models to address questions about cognition relevant across the fields of psychology and biology, where I have focused on understanding the relationship between brain activity during sleep and the formation and consolidation of memories. With wide-ranging interests and an insatiable urge to keep learning, I look forward to new opportunities where I can expand my knowledge base and collaborate with smart, diverse, and talented people. And when the workweek is over, there is nothing better than escaping to the trails for a hike with my wife and two dogs or finding the next venue (near or far) for live, improvisational music.
