Continuation of previous project but with new contractor.Responsible for planning, implementation, and upgrade of Oracle 19c/12c/11g Database products in Linux/Unix environments at local and remote data centers as well as Microsoft Azure Cloud and DISA MilCloud environments. This includes installing, implementing and maintaining Oracle database products in development, test, stage, functional, and production environments including placement in correct security zone for public, restricted, or private access. Responsible for addressing and preventing security issues within database products by ensuring adherence to the Department of Defense Security Technical Implementation Guides and certification of DLA (Defense Logistics Agency) systems. Implemented and documented Branch standards for database installs, upgrades as well as a standardized hardware platform for SQL server and shared Oracle Enterprise database servers. Develop, Implement and manage standardized System Security Plan documentation which was favorably met by Cyber Security during CVA and CCRI audits of the Enterprise databases. Other standards and documentation developed for the Enterprise Oracle DBA team include The implementation of Oracle TDE for data at rest as well as wallet and key creation with auto open and the use of FIPS 140 -2 Standard to encrypt data in flight. All standards were developed for use in DLA (Defense Logistics Agency) clustered data centers as well as the cloud environments.Systems supported include both highly available clustered and fail-over configurations using Oracle products such as Clustering and Data Guard as well as Oracle Golden Gate for real time data integration and transactional replication. Collaborate with Government Project Managers to ensure projects milestones are achieved, reporting is completed and security policies are followed. Responsible for addressing and closing ITSM trouble tickets assigned by Government supervisor.

Responsible for development and management of all technical upgrade and migration project plans, Contributor to all documents and development processes surrounding the database system including disaster recovery procedures and viability of those procedures in a real world recovery scenario and for leading technical/programming staff in development and sustainment activities surrounding the RDBMS systems. Responsible for providing viable cost effective solutions for database systems, data movement and database development efforts at the DoD – DCMA (Department of Defense - Defense Contract Management Agency). Solutions include project plan development and management, as well as end-to-end systems design from collection of data from upstream systems (i.e. Mainframe, Web, Internal applications) through transfer, load, transformation, and processing of the data at the mid-tier level using tools such as Oracle, Informatica, and WebSphere Mq Series and output to web based customer interfaces. Responsible for management of over 50 production, training, development, and test database instances in an HPUX Itanium environment, to include structure changes using DDL, data changes (DML), database links, views, triggers, materialized views for replication, sequences, functions, PL/SQL procedures and packages. Provides technical direction for database design, maintenance, and administration. Evaluate and recommend available DBMS products after matching user requirements with system capabilities. Lead technical/programming staff to ensure database security from accidental or intentional loss or damage. Determine file organization, indexing methods and security procedures. Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Work with system administrators and used the Oracle data dictionary and software packages to ensure data integrity and security, recover corrupted data and eliminate data redundancy. Work with the application development team(s), focusing on the back-end portion of data storage considerations and performance considerations for application systems being developed. Applied quarterly security patches and monitored, sized, tuned and back up developmental, test, and training and production databases. Maintain over 200 Oracle and Unix accounts. Implemented generation of PL/SQL code from an automated generator following structure changes. Implemented user setup, roles, privilege assignments and other security measures, created documentation, tracking metrics, generated SQL and Unix scripts, and performed configuration management of each instance. Responsible for database refreshes in various instances using production configurations. Acquire, test, and install blocked release software packages from up to 6 integrated application sources into production on weekends, and coordinate with multiple organizations during and prior to release upgrades.
