• Researched and conceptualized new helmet design concepts and materials with a group of 6 students to create a more affordable helmet, while maintaining performance standards of Gentex’s non-ballistic carbon fiber helmet • Conducted 6 interviews with potential customers and military experts to gain an understanding on key customer needs and important standards necessary for the developmental progress of the new helmet prototype • Developed a similar drop testing procedure and methodology to Gentex’s in order to acquire and analyze head force data of the new helmet mock up, via an accelerometer • Presented on the feasibility of the new helmet prototype to Gentex and Lehigh stakeholders by using data from the drop tests and showing financial profitability through business case analysis
