• About Me •I am an industrial designer who graduated with my B.A. in Industrial and Innovative Design in May 2024, at Cedarville University in central Ohio.I believe that good, thorough design does three things: It serves the needs of others, accomplishes the functions it needs to do, and appears aesthetically attractive enough that people are willing to invest in it. My passion is making that a reality.• My Top 5 Skills • - Interpersonal SkillsI have worked in the customer service industry for the past several years. I listened to people, empathized with them, and worked with them to get the best result possible. - Design ThinkingDesign thinking is a skill I've been developing my entire time at school. My internship at Worthington Industries focused on how to use artificial intelligence in the design process. All my projects have utilized design thinking to develop a result that is both what people need and is novel. - TeamworkNo one designs in isolation. My school career has been filled with team projects, from designing a complex nature park in De Smet, SD, to creating a concept for an electric ambulance for emergencies in rural Iowa. - CommunicationI love public speaking. I was in a speech and debate club for most of high school, where I placed first in a prose competition. I've delivered several presentations in my college classes and during my internship at Worthington Industries. I use communication in tandem with interpersonal skills to empathize with an individual where they're at. - Love of LearningI love to learn how to do new things, especially if they're something I've never heard about before.
