Increased network availability from about 93% to 98% during a period of growth in terms of both number of customers and bandwidth usage per customer. Developed unique spreadsheet and diagrams to make the job possible for a new guy with a big network that needed lots of work. Kept the capacity up and balanced the load for Verzion's New York DSL Backbone.

Project managed the installation and turn-up of gateway routers (GWRs), optical line terminals (OLTs), and Ethernet circuits, which are parts of Verizon's Fiber to the Premise (FTTP) network in all Verizon areas, MA, RI, NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD, VA, CA, TX and Fl., well except for DC. Worked with many work groups to bring up network elements (NEs) on time to.

Produced plans to manage nationwide set of over 150 Network Services OSSs and EMSs worth over $600M. Identified OSS and EMS gaps for meeting major new corporate initiatives, or for provisioning and maintaining major new telecommunications services and networks. Created methods for producing such plans and obtained cross-departmental stakeholder concurrence.

Produced plans and obtained funding to implement and enhance telecommunication technologies and OSSs used in the provisioning and maintenance of major new public and operator networks and services (e.g., directory assistance, call completion, calling card services, and coin phone services). Obtained stakeholder concurrence with such plans. Wrote technology.

Developed and documented improved ways of developing computing applications to better accomplish following goals: quicker and cheaper development, automated operations, flow-through, interoperable systems, and seamless interfaces across administrations.

Identified changes needed to OSSs and operations processes for provisioning and maintaining new networks and services worth about $5M. Identified alternatives for accomplishing those changes, analyzed and compared them in terms of costs and benefits, recommended solutions, and obtained funding. Also, recommended center responsibilities for new services.
