Improvement in the design of a constant-temperature anemometer for measuring turbulent flow velocity.Tasks & Responsibilities:• Modeled the linear circuit dynamics of the constant-temperature anemometer using a transfer function approach.• Created a MATLAB application to simulate the performance of the hot-wire anemometer for various system parameters (sensor characteristics, user settings, flow conditions, etc.).• Improved the analog electronic circuit design for the hot-wire anemometer by redesigning the servo amplifier network.

Design, construction, and testing of a constant-temperature anemometer for measuring turbulent flow velocity.Tasks & Responsibilities:• Designed an analog electronic circuit for the hot-wire anemometer measurement device.• Designed a PCB of the hot-wire anemometer circuit using KiCad.• Assembled the hot-wire anemometer circuit by soldering through-hole and surface-mount electronic components to the PCB.• Constructed an enclosure with a front panel to house the electronics and circuit control settings.• Benchmarked the performance of the anemometer prototype against a commercial unit in a turbulent jet and analyzed the data using MATLAB.

• Created a program to estimate the factor of safety of suspension arm tubes due to buckling failure given wheel loads using MATLAB.• Modeled suspension components and assemblies using Siemens NX.• Contributed to weekly design meetings by updating the team on the status of the design and manufacturing of the suspension system.
