Technical Lead and Business Advisor for a private individual that is seeking to bring a commercial software product to market. My role is to assist as needed and where needed in all aspects of his vision. Including product requirements, proof of concept, SDLC, marketing, legal, patent search, and overall viability. I am currently bound under a non-disclosure agreement. I will share more on this position and my duties as circumstances allow.

 Developed a quasi-relational database supporting the ability to cross-reference product sets across all the subcategories in Verizon’s CalNet3 RFP response. This information was critical for both pre- and post-sale teams and eliminated the potential for expensive human error, as well as saving hundreds of man hours which would have been required to perform these interrelated tasks separately and manually. In addition, the database was leveraged for 10 additional Calnet3 RFPs enabling post-sale teams to manage winning elements. Supported CalNet3 Enterprise Architects and Account team by developing a Scoring Tool spreadsheet with inputs for the complex evaluation criteria and cost information used to evaluate Verizon’s potential win probability for each Bid sub-category. The tool enabled Verizon to enter competitors’ costs for comparison with Verizon’s costs, providing What If scenarios to highlight areas where cost or capability required adjustment. Assigned as consultant to audit and assist project management of the revision of the State of North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicle Judicial Prosecution system and restored Verizon’s relationship with the client. Performed proposal analysis and proposal content development for multi-million dollar government and commercial proposals. Developed and deployed a statewide automated licensing system for the New York Department of Fish and Game. This achievement was applauded as a success that provided hunting and fishing licenses via a point of sale system. Developed and deployed an Automated Vehicle Safety inspection system for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Developed and delivered an end-to-end Judicial Prosecution system for the State of North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles. The on-time delivery of all project analysis contributed to the successful implementation of the product and overall customer satisfaction.

 Responsible for business and systems requirements gathering and management of systems sold by MCI/Worldcom to state and local governments. Acted as cross-project Lead Analyst for all MCI Government Markets revenue and accounting development. As a business accounting expert (adept at ACH and EDI banking processes), wrote requirements for three accounting systems valued at over five million dollars each. Trained and mentored teams in Object Oriented ideas and methodologies.

 Responsible for the development of large-scale, complex business applications, internet-based applications and client/server-based projects. Developed and deployed a commercial ERP system (Accounting, Sales, Production, Inventory, and Distribution) for the agriculture industry. Generated two major additional sales contracts as a direct result of the successful implementation. Produced business process workflow activity documentation for the State of California Department of Justice Missing Persons Unit. Trained an analysis team at the State of California Employment Development Division in Object Oriented Analysis and Design requirements management. Supervised seven staff members consisting of senior and junior analysts. Conducted object-oriented analysis and design methodologies utilizing Use Case Methodology. Wrote business, technical and functional requirements. Created project plans, workgroup/work flows, test plans and test implementation schedules.

 Supported the Year 2000 (Y2K) systems re-engineering effort for the State of California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS). Identified significant risk to project success in the form of sub-standard requirements artifacts received from a multitude of various State agencies. Presented findings to Senior State Officials highlighting potential impacts to cost, delivery timeline, Public opinion, Public Trust, Political damage, and costs to correct. Consequently, promoted to position of State Analysis Review Officer, singularly serving as reviewer and final approving authority of all State Agency submitted artifacts. Trained and mentored State staff members collectively and individually in the science of Object-Oriented Application development, Project Management techniques, and Software Quality Assurance. This required the ability to liaison with system users, technicians, programmers, analysts, administrators, designers and quality assurance and quality control staff members The final re-engineering effort to replace 170 existing PC applications with new 32-bit, high quality, year 2000 compliant systems was completed ahead of schedule, under budget, and was heralded as a tremendous success.
