Hello, I started my work experience straight out of college building tires for Bridgestone/Firestone Co. In two short years earned area supervisor position for 3 years until our jobs were relocated to another country. I accepted a Project Management position for Bomar Construction Co. for 3 years Managing and facilitating commercial building projects in middle TN. I then accepted a position working for GKN Hoeganaes Co. where I earned a Finishing supervisor position within 6 months. Five years later I was awarded area Manager position over Blending & Packaging departments for just one year before being asked to join our front offices as a Purchasing Buyer, which is the position I have currently held for 4 years now. My job responsibilities represent 60% of our company's multi million dollar budget in purchases of various scrap metal grades in large gross ton volumes and other precious metals such as nickel, copper, molybdenum, sponge iron and flux additives. I also manage the scrap metal and raw material inventories through out many vendors to coordinate and facilitate melting operations.I enjoy the day to day challenges that come my way, the co-workers that I share them with and always looking for opportunities to improve and learn new ways to have success.
