Leading the product strategy, design and implementation of major customer-facing front-end and enterprise projects for industry-leading jewelry e-commerce platforms, utilizing in-depth collaboration with UX/design, customer service, operations and engineering divisions.

I joined Brownfield Listings as a Founder and a Product Manager in 2013 to help change how the world views brownfield real estate, and to further daylight its potential to the market. BL is the intersection of economic development, technology and environmental social good. We’re creating a new market, bringing together the many stakeholders of a redevelopment project, where previously there was only an opaque way of communicating the needs of a brownfield property to a nationwide audience. I led the design and development of two major platform releases for Brownfield Listings. I was responsible for business requirements, technical spec documentation, UI/UX design, project management, and product marketing.

Led the ideation and design of multiple consumer facing telematics products, consisting of mobile and web applications for the Connected Truck and Bus initiatives. Crafted business requirements, UI specs, wireframes and directed team of UI/UX designers and software developers.

I joined Ketchum Trading to launch and lead the algorithmic option trading operation. After the design, development and testing of the platform and necessary tools were completed, I helped implement the regression volatility models that drove the execution of the system. I was able to adapt and improve on the analytical systems we used by designing and developing new tools in Python that scoured over gigabytes of daily data to find patterns and inefficiencies within our pricing models. The high-frequency model was able to limit the exposure to potential market fluctuations and derive revenues from the corn, wheat, live cattle and S&P 500 option markets.

I founded, designed and managed the inception of Zen Global Markets within RCG. I was able to develop the operation from a business plan into a fully functional operation. I served as Head of Operations and Head Trader of the group (five traders, one developer), as well as developed the team’s risk and analytics systems in Python.

I drove the development of the group’s electronic and floor option trading business, including staffing of personnel and optimization of execution systems. I had full responsibility for daily revenue generation, risk management, and electronic quoting systems. I also functioned as project manager for execution and analytical development in multiple projects.

At MusicNow, an early online music streaming service, I was able to increase the visibility and viability of how the company viewed its data and metrics through deep analysis within our Oracle databases. Through extensive data analysis using SQL, I was able to pinpoint the inefficiencies throughout our data structures, and create high-level reporting methodologies to allow the company to better understand user and system activity.I also designed the database structure and user interface for a company-wide data warehousing project, determining the most efficient methods for mass storage of company data using Oracle and SQL Server 2000.

I started Real Time Media with some great co-founders after graduating from the University of Illinois. We built a POS and backend system for retail jewelry stores to be sold throughout the midwest. Through on-the-ground research and extensive design, we developed an end to end sales and inventory solution that would be able sync data between multiple stores. The technologies we used: VB 6.0, ActiveX, MS Access, IIS 5.0, and ASP.
