Intelligence Unit/Special Investigations Division – Plain clothes Detective responsible for investigating, reducing, controlling and preventing organized criminal activity. Required to maintain all criminal intelligence records as per 28 CFR part 23. Assisted other divisions with the utilization of advanced investigative techniques such as the deployment of GPS trackers, audio listening devices, pole cameras, hidden CCTV modules, wire taps, and pen registers. SWAT Team/Crisis Negotiator – Metro Resources Division – Mesa Police SWAT team member and Crisis Negotiator required to respond to various high-profile tactical missions such as; barricaded suspects, hostage rescue, high-risk search warrants, suicide interventions, dignitary protection, and any other mission designated by the Chief of Police.
