Suncorp Group capital management specialist covering the delivery of the Group's capital reporting, forecasting and performance for the Groups General Insurance, Banking and Life Insurance functions. Responsibilities include the management of the Group’s actual and forecasted capital position, dividend and reinvestment plans, Capital Committee/Board/Investor reporting.

- Design and delivery of regulatory reporting to banking prudential authorities (APRA, RBA and ABS) for BOQ, BOQ Finance and St Andrews Insurance entities.- Ownership of the Bank's Risk Weight Review to delivery capital efficiencies, achieving RWA benefits in the $100m's.- Ownership of Capital Adequacy and Pillar III reporting and public disclosures.- Design of reporting solution's to support the APRA's EFS reporting requirements.- Management of financial controls to support the integrity of prudential reporting governance.- Maintenance of accounting and management information systems to support prudential reporting, including SAS, SAP, TM1 and MS product suites.

- Ledger control functions including ledger integrity, reconciliations, review and approval for financial statements. Management and review of the Suncorp Group related securitisation and trust accounts for statutory lodgment.- Regulatory reporting to Government authorities including the Reserve Bank, Prudential Regulatory Authority, Investment Commission and Bureau of Statistics. Financial and management related reporting to external partners including the Australian Bankers’ Association and ratings agencies.- Delivery of new suit of SOP instructions in conjunction of the Financial Control and offshore team.- Testing and development of the Cognos TM1 platform prior to go live, including the design of reporting cubes and dimensions for the Banks financial accounting team.- Production of full and half year financial statements, including statutory accounts, investor and securitisation packs. - Liaison to internal and external audit and risk management teams.- Design and execution of EOFY investor reporting and presentations.

- Leader and owner of operational risk data collation and reporting frameworks.- Successfully led the initial phase of the Operational Risk and Regulation stream of the Advanced Basel II program for the Bank; involving the drafting of the initial business case, resource scoping and design of program frameworks. The initial phase concluded and transitioned to stream project managers after year one following the completion of recruitment of suitable resourcing and project governance framework implementation.- Operational risk analysis of strategic Bank wide initiatives and projects.- Owner of operational risk based quantitative modelling, governance and reporting.- Design and implementation of risk monitoring and identification via financial and management data analysis.- Ownership of dashboard reporting and risk intelligence to the Banking Executive and Risk Committees.- Operational risk policy drafting and implementation in line with regulatory requirements.- Development and ownership of Bank wide operational risk information capture system.

- Championed a value chain and financial performance bench marking framework comparing bank performance to national and international peers. Outputs were directly used to brief the Board, senior management and used in analyst packs.- Successfully led a stream of organisational wide redesign and alignment subsequent to delivering a Board approved strategic plan. Responsible for planning and executing the redeployment of resourcing, including division level function redesign and outsourcing of non-core functions in response to post-GFC environment. - Lead the development of a governance framework and supporting corporate policies for M & A transactions for the bank. The framework was subsequently applied by a team, including myself, to the pricing and acquisition of two medium sized organisations and divestiture of significantly large non-core portfolio assets.- Design and maintenance of Executive and Management scorecards and KPI’s.- Custodian of division based performance scorecards and annual challenge sessions.- Owner of strategic business reviews conducted with business owners and consultants.- Value chain and product development, including scenario modelling on pricing and resourcing.- Market and industry performance analytics, including competitor bench marking of profit drivers and business unit performance.- Periodic review of banking customer value proposition and value chain performance- Needs analysis and scoping of new software platforms, including decommissioning and simplification of legacy systems.- Secretariat to Suncorp Bank’s Executive Committee.- Compilation of investor information packs in support of financial result announcements.

- Championed a mortgage broker management system from conception to implementation. System provided CRM functionality to management and track interactions, accreditations and relationship manager portfolio reporting. Formerly unavailable compliance and KPI became available for measurement as a direct result.- Developed and prepared business cases for end to end lending business models, including the alignment to bank specific value propositions through product, marketing, processing and customer maintenance.- Design and execution of mortgage product strategy, including channel development and product (re)design.- Analysis of market share, competitor products, pricing, customer consideration and sales campaigns.- Design of customer value propositions through customer lifecycle analytics.- Customer trend research through market research and data interrogation.
