Born and raised in New Jersey, TIMOTHY JANOVSKY is a multidisciplinary storyteller. He has earned a Bachelor of the Arts in both Theater (acting and performance studies) and Dance (choreography) from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. He studied abroad at the Accademia dell’Arte in Arezzo, Italy where he spent a semester immersed in Physical Theater practices and Commedia dell’Arte. As a performer, he has worked numerous times with theater directors Charles Richter, Margarett Perry, and Jade King Carroll. Choreographers include Orion Duckstein, Cristina Perera, Karen Dearborn, Jeffrey Peterson, and Cynthia Gutierrez-Garner. He is a former member of the comedy improv troupe the Underground Improv Project (UiP), which has performed at Muhlenberg College, Skidmore College, and multiple times at ArtsQuest Steelstacks in Bethlehem, PA. As a novelist and playwright, his work is represented by the Charlotte Sheedy Literary Agency in New York City. In the spring of 2019, he headlined the Lehigh Valley premiere of Jonathan Tolins’ one-man play Buyer and Cellar, directed by William Sanders at the historic Civic Theatre of Allentown. This production won the 16th Annual ABE Award for Best Play. With his singular sarcastic wit and unique vision, Janovsky aims to create and perform in cross-disciplinary works that address the humor and horrors of everyday life through character, text, and movement.
