Co-taught senior capstone course to multidisciplinary classroom of students. Lectured on design methodologies in product development and mentored eight teams of engineering & architecture students through the design process from gathering user needs to ideation, concept selection, and prototyping.Our students in the news:

Worked with Singapore-based start ups to deploy design thinking into their ventures.Conducted user-centered design research and ethnography.

Designed and prototyped an interactive haptic vest for immersive video experience at the Experience, Design & Technology Lab (xLAB) at Penn in partnership with Comcast.Supported the development of an overhead lighting system to spatially expand the in-screen viewing experience.

Oversaw quality assurance for three programs under Naval Weapons Systems, leading the defect prevention team to investigate defect, scrap, and rework performance.Acted as the liaison to the US Missile Defense Agency and internal customers for first article inspections of finished products.Worked directly with operators across the three programs to improve the quality of the manual assembly process using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

Joined to improve the data analytics capabilities of the Quality Assurance team. Worked with engineering teams across various departments to improve operations through the use of data collection and presentation.Developed a supplier quality rating system using internal manufacturing and processing data, coupled with external company data.Produced several projects around human resource management and feedback for operators and employees to upper management.Integrated systems end-to-end in the supply chain process to provide management teams with s holistic view of the process.

Worked as a part of the Incoming Inspection and Supplier Quality Team. Developed tools and processes to track, maintain and improve supplier performance as well as help design and develop incoming inspection management systems for operators and engineers.Oversaw the overhaul of the approved supplier process, liaising with Raytheon Technical Services as well as internal and external customers to automate and speed up the approval process.

Contributed to DOE site-assessments and performed statistical analysis in the areas of energy efficiency, water conservation, and renewable energy.

Responsible for planning programs sponsored by the Asian American Center. Facilitated weekly meetings on skill-building and Asian American issues
