About Timothy Mccurdy-Myers

I believe relationships are built from communication and respect. In my experiences as a therapist-intern, I always started by listening intently to the client. When people know you as someone who truly hears them, they will tell you what they need. I view effective communication as a skill that we practice. My experience teaching communication to individuals, couples, families, and undergraduate students has shown me that everyone can expand the communication tools at their disposal. I have implemented these skills in a variety of high-intensity situations including deeply conflicted couples, family violence, and attempts at suicide. In every workplace I want to build relationships with my clients, coworkers, and supervisors. I value cohesive team communication and support.
