Co-led corporate strategy group of 9 senior executives. With health reform's passage in 2010, Company grew fro $5.2 billion in 2009 to $11.0 billion in 2013 in part based on group's strategic choices and subsequent success entering new states, enrolling new Medicaid populations and expanding scope of services. Identified and championed more than three dozen strategic initiatives including new programs or capabilities that strengthened Company's core Medicaid business.

Identify and evaluate investment opportunities in early and growth stage companies. Primary client was ABS Capital Partners, a Baltimore-based private equity firm focused on health care services, information technology outsourcing and distribution businesses. Angel investor in companies such as VISICU, Censis Technologies, GoHealth, Health Risk Partners and Avalere Health.

Consolidated assets from four 1999 acquisitions into one product road map, as private-equity backed company launched and increased annualized revenue from $7 million in 1999 to $50 million by fourth quarter of 2001. ADP acquired company in 2010.

Created corporate marketing and sales support function as UnitedHealth Group acquired and integrated MetraHealth Companies (Travelers and MetLife group health operations) and targeted growth opportunity in middle market and national accounts market segments. Led staff of 90 associates across four locations in supporting sale and renewal of over 1 million members in 1997 and 1998. Directing marketing campaign including winning proposal for Company's 1996 acquisition of AARP's 4 million member Medicare Supplement program, increasing revenue by $4 billion at time when UnitedHealth Group's total revenues were approximately $10 billion.

Developed and implemented sales and marketing strategy for Company that created and managed primary care group practices for health plans such as UnitedHealthcare and Independence Blue Cross and Blue Shield. In first six months of operations, enrolled 50,000 patients, principally by targeting households that received benefits through employer-sponsored benefits programs. Company merged with MetraHealth companies after two years of operations, yielding positive return for shareholders.

Supported senior vice president and five operated units to sell and implement specialty health benefit programs including pharmacy benefit management program called ValueRx, Inc., as revenues increased from $25 million to nearly $700 million in 1993. Created corporate communications function, with projects including Company's first two annual reports as well as investor presentations for IPO in 1991 and two subsequent stock offerings over a twenty-one month period.
