I am currently an official court reporter in the First Judicial District Courts of Minnesota. I have over 20 years' prior experience as a freelance court reporter. Since getting my first computer in 1993 and learning to program macros in WordPerfect 5.1, I've been in love with technology.I am currently the Zoom guru (not my wording) for the First and am on the state testing team for new releases of Zoom. I was also involved in the development of the Repository for Record of Court Proceedings, a database that is now utilized to store all reporters' notes and recordings throughout the state of Minnesota. Friends and family know me as Tim's Tech Support.I have received two awards since 2014. The first, an Achievement Award, was for extensive work related to the storage of reporters' electronic notes in the First Judicial District. The second, a Spot Award, was for time spent developing and conducting a Zoom "Lessons Learned" training session with Judge Perkkio and for the time I spent with colleagues conducting one-on-one Zoom and Windows training. And I irregularly spam my colleagues with Tim's Tech Tips, usually a brief e-mail regarding some feature of the hardware and software we use - or a workaround for an issue we face with that technology.
