I serve as the primary staff to the Maryland Economic Council, the Maryland Economic Development Commission, the Commerce Subcabinet, and the Maryland Entertainment Industry Council. I schedule meetings, conduct outreach with economic development stakeholders, assist in the coordination of data collection, perform data analysis, and prepare associated reports.

Each year the Maryland General Assembly hires legislative interns for the 90-day legislative session. Interns are expected to write reports and correspondence, track bills, communicate with witnesses, follow committee hearings, prepare and report testimony, coordinate mailings and newsletters, and respond to constituent inquiries. I am interning for Senator Johnny Mautz, representative of District 37 (Caroline, Dorchester, Talbot, and Wicomico Counties). Given that Senator Johnny Mautz sits on the Senate Finance Committee, intern research focuses on business regulation, commercial law, economic development, health care facilities, health insurance, state personnel, transportation, unemployment insurance, and workers compensation.

Towson University

The Towson University Journal of International Affairs is the oldest student-run peer-reviewed journal of international affairs in the world. The responsibilities of the Associate Editor include reviewing manuscripts, making final copy edits, updating and managing the website, and creating promotional materials. Also, the TUJIA hosts the Belgrade Speaker Series each semester, in which scholars or professors present their findings on research related to international affairs.

The Organization for World Peace is a non-profit that promotes peaceful solutions to complex issues across the globe. As a Correspondent, I work within the research and reporting division to delineate issues that threaten world peace and propose meaningful solutions that can mitigate violence. Throughout my internship I will contribute nine "current event" posts and 3 "reports", which can be found on the organization's website.
