As part of the Executive Management Team, I support the Laboratory's overall mission ranging from planning and performance to facilities and infrastructure to safety and security.

Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) is one of 17 national laboratories owned by the U.S. Department of Energy. PPPL is managed and operated by Princeton University with a focus on plasma science and technology, fusion energy research and development with a growing footprint in microelectronics and quantum information science. In my role as deputy to the COO, I support all aspects of mission success including strategy, human capital, risk management, performance management and assurance, stakeholder management, communications and outreach, and facilities.

When the opportunity came up to join Fermilab's flagship initiative, the LBNF/DUNE-US project (the largest project ever in the DOE Office of Science and the one with the most international engagement), I jumped at the chance. In this role, I guide interactions and support interfaces among the project, host laboratory, and external organizations. Simultaneously, I am the designated leader of Fermilab's emerging technology development and industry engagement program with the goal of growing our successes in contributing our knowledge, skills, and facilities to American industry.

After expanding the leadership team at Fermilab, I took on this role focused on cross-cutting, strategic support for the laboratory's mission including audit, technology transfer, quality assurance, project management, and planning & performance.

Fermilab is America's particle physics and accelerator laboratory. As COO, I oversaw nearly all aspects of the lab's business and operational activities. I worked alongside the Laboratory Director and Deputy Director to chart the lab's role in the U.S. national program. Fermilab is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy and operated by Fermi Research Alliance, LLC.

I head the public affairs activities at TRIUMF including government relations, media relations, community relations, and communications. I also work closely with the Director and Senior Management team to set the strategic course for the laboratory.

With panels of experts from around the world, I addressed issues for the legislative and executive branches of the U.S. government in the areas of physics, astronomy, and public policy. I convened blue-ribbon panels, research and wrote reports, coordinated public engagements, and prepared dissemination and briefing strategies for all levels of government.

Together with a small team, I oversaw the development and implementation of a radiation-protection system for the high-precision silicon vertex tracking detector in the BaBar experiment. I worked with other scientists to prepare a statistical toolkit for simultaneous measurements of multiple correlated variables. We measured the lifetime and mixing of the bottom quark using semileptonic decays.
