Tim currently directs development and compliance for NYC Ferry, working to build out the ferry system, and integrate New York City with its waterfront. A dynamic company, Hornblower (which operates the NYC Ferry system) has been successful in creating this new transportation mode, surpassing ridership and experiential expectations.

ONE15 Brooklyn Marina is a stand-alone development within Brooklyn Bridge Park, a $400 million park on the East River in New York Harbor (http://www.brooklynbridgepark.org/).In partnership with the principals of Edgewater Resources, a development company specializing in urban waterfront projects worldwide and ONE15 Singapore, consistently ranked Asia's top marina, Tim leads the development of the first new Marina on New York Harbor in a generation.The marina team is committed to allowing access to New York Harbor for individuals from a wide variety of economic backgrounds; 2% of the project's gross revenues are committed to supporting free and low cost community boating programs. In addition to the marina, the project will include a sailing club and a yacht club, both with state of the act facilities, to allow New Yorkers to better use its most underused asset - its harbor. Kayaking and other water based opportunities will also be available over time.

Timothy L. O'Brien is a Senior Manager of Bernstein Global Wealth Management’s private client business in the firm's flagship New York office. Tim has oversight responsibility for a wide range of research and support staff members, who provide client service and analysis to approximately 10,500 high and ultra-high net worth client relationships, as well as their respective trusts, estates, foundations, endowments and pension plans. Tim works closely with Bernstein’s financial advisors on client servicing and support issues related to managing over $30 billion in assets, including risk mitigation, operational efficiency and staff development and retention. Prior to assuming this position in 2010, Tim became a Private Client Manager in 2010. Tim joined the firm as a Private Client Associate based in the New York in August of 2007, and was promoted to Senior Associate in 2009. Previously, Tim was a project manager at Credit Suisse in New York, followed by a role as the Manager of North Cove, New York City's premiere megayacht marina. Tim holds a BA from Trinity College, Hartford, and an MBA in Finance and Leadership & Change Management from NYU Stern's School of Business. In addition, Tim holds a 100 Ton US Coast Guard Captain's license for inland waters.

Led the execution of a complete infrastructure and business turnaround of North Cove Marina, one of the premiere mega-yacht marina's in the United States. As the first Manager of North Cove following its management by a NY State run parks department, we executed on a mandate to bring glamor back to lower manhattan in the years following 9/11. Used extensive marine and management experience to refurbish the elegant existing infrastructure of the marina to meet the needs of mega-yacht owners and captains.
