Conducted research in Natural Products with a focus on fungi from extraction to isolation and characterization (full suite of 1D/2D NMR; MSMS; UV; CAD) of bioactive small molecule compounds. Developed/refined prep to analytical HPLC methods for RP, NP, HILIC on Thermo and Agilent equipment for compound purification and isolation. Led optimization of LCMS protocols for automation, operation, and maintenance of LCMS (Thermo QE, Exploris) instrument room and training for new hires. Operated, maintained, performed liquid nitrogen refills, trained others, and advised on data collection and analysis on 600 MHz NMR with Prodigy cryoprobe. Communicated across teams from strain selection, synthetic biology, fermentation, NPC, assay team, and medicinal chemistry. Utilized targeted and untargeted metabolomics approaches such as molecular networking (OMETA; Compound Discoverer; GNPS) to aid in identifying compounds of interest for isolation.
