Receive, transport and sort animal samples (bloods, tissues and swabs) in PC3 and PC4 laboratories.Review, update and perform routine assays in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs).Document laboratory work at Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) quality assurance level.Development of in-house pipette verification and ELISpot assay.Communicate ideas, problems and results timely and respectfully with fellow team members, other CSIRO teams and key stakeholders. Run maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment – balances, haematology machines, Ensure safe operation of laboratories by correctly labelling, storing and removing chemical and biological agents.Proficient in the use of Sample Manager (LIMS), in-house sample storage programs and Microsoft Office.Emergency Response Team member which includes training such as: Breathing Apparatus Training, Safe Work from Heights, Confined Space Entry, First Aid, Advanced First Aid.CSIRO Chairman’s Medal for Science and Engineering Excellence 2020.CSIRO Publishing Award 2020.
