About Timothy R. Graham

My entire professional career I have served the state of Kansas by advancing policies which positively impact constituents. In my current position within the Kansas National Education Association (KNEA), I collaborate with a team of professionals to advocate for education professionals and to unite our members, Kansans, and the nation to fulfill the promise of public education to prepare every student to succeed in a diverse and interdependent world. I am excited to serve Kansans in this new capacity and will strongly work to advance the the vision of a great public school for every student as well as passionately defend the core values of Kansas NEA.My lifelong passion for education really took off when working with Senator Anthony Hensley in the Kansas State Legislature. As a teacher and longtime member of KNEA, Senator Hensley’s energy around education easily propelled my drive to continue his work. Most recently, as the Director of Governmental Affairs for Governor Laura Kelly, the “Education Governor,” education was always our top priority. These relationships, coupled with my own passion for public education led me to where am today.Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my son, often serving as a head or assistant coach for various youth sports teams, and also holding a few positions on boards of local organizations, including Native Sons and Daughters of Kansas.
