Timothy Roberts provides professional art services to corporate and individual clients, including collection advice, cataloguing, statements of significance, art education, and provenance research. He has worked with educational, not-for-profit and individual clients, and has contributed to several scholarly publications on topics of Australian art history.Timothy is Treasurer of the Professional Historians Association of Queensland, Councillor of the Royal Historical Society of Queensland and member of the Queensland Art Gallery Foundation, and maintains relationships with art collectors, dealers and specialists alike.

Provide support services relating to the physical care of QAGOMAs collection of Australian and international decorative arts, including preparation and relocation of the Collection as part of the QAGOMA Collection Storage Mezzanine Project.

My project, Picturing the North: Representing Queensland before 1859, is the first major exploration of the art and artists of pre-separation Queensland. This project seeks to create an index of artworks created before 1859 that depict the people, places and events in the geographical region now known as Queensland; uncover biographical details of the artists that created the works; and provide a historical context to frame the art heritage during this formative period of Queensland’s development.
