Software Engineer
Current- Utilized Electron powered by Chromium rendering engine and Node.js runtime environment to create a sandboxed environment to test relational database queries, taking advantage of Electron’s cross-platform functionality, fast performance, HTTP RESTful API calls, data persistence, security, and automatic-update functionality.- Leveraged React’s modular componentry to construct a unidirectional frontend consisting of reusable channel communication endpoints as well as fast loading, reusable, stateful components within functional modals.- Incorporated PostgreSQL to allow users to import, create, read, update, and delete instances of ACID-compliant SQL files to ensure database transactions are completed in a timely manner as well as run PostgreSQL commands against different user queries, taking advantage of PostgreSQL’s concurrency and extensibility.- Implemented styled-components to style the application through the customization of design components by writing actual CSS code, enabling easier management of styling and eliminating problems with class name duplications, misspellings, and overlaps.- Leveraged Material-UI framework by importing and utilizing several prebuilt components, taking advantage of the extensive Material-UI library to ramp up development and to allow components to work in isolation.- Employed TypeScript by creating several interfaces and types to enforce static, structural type checking, reducing runtime errors, ensuring type safety, improving cross-development team code generation, minimizing bugs, and maximizing scalability. - Integrated Jest and Enzyme to apply TDD to create unit and integration testing, guaranteeing appropriate rendering and functionality of React components, ensuring modular and maintainable code, and protecting against regression bugs, edge-cases, and side effects.- Product developed and maintained under tech accelerator OS Labs (opensourcelabs.io)
