AW139 Line Training Captain responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of cargo and personnel to offshore and land based oil and gas facilities throughout the Nigeria in Day/Night and IMC condition. To maintain qualification/proficiency in assigned aircraft and to provide training and evaluation for other pilots employed by Aero Contractors and to make recommendations for advancement to the Chief Pilot. Work closely with maintenance division to ensure all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance procedures are accomplished in accordance with all applicable regulations and company policies. To assist the scheduling department in creating daily and weekly flight schedules to ensure customer flight requirements are met. Worked closely with the Chief Pilot and Director of Rotary-Wing Operations to create annual simulator training schedules to ensure all assigned pilots meet currency and proficiency requirements set forth by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

Responsible for maintaining proficiency in the Bell 206L series and the Bell 407 helicopters and knowledge of all company operations procedures and FAA regulations pertaining to the transport of personnel and cargo to offshore facilities on the Gulf of Mexico. Assigned to an offshore platform working for Arena Offshore Ltd responsible to ensure that the assigned aircraft had all scheduled maintenance was performed for maximum availability to meet customer needs daily. Worked closely with facility dispatcher to ensure efficient use of the helicopter to maximize daily transport to outlying platforms which require safety monitoring and routine maintenance. Responsible to inspect the offshore fuel facility daily to ensure that helicopter fuel supply was sufficient and fuel passed “clear and bright” test.

Served as the Aviation Detachment (AVDET) Commander on 17 different Coast Guard Medium and High Endurance Cutters, executing Maritime SAR, Maritime Law Enforcement and Vertical Replenishment on numerous deployments throughout the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific Ocean. I also served as an Instructor Pilot/Examiner at the US Navy’s primary rotary-wing training center, where I instructed Navy/Marine/Coast Guard and International students in all disciplines of rotary- wing aviation to include basic flight training, instruments, low-level navigation, tactical flight, VERTREP and night vision goggles (NVGs).
