About Timothy Transue
At the age of 14 I was given my first soldering iron, shortly after I took apart my first piece of electronics and almost immediately started a life long journey that is my passion for electronics. My pursuit of electrical engineering is merely an extension of my love for electronics instilled at an early age.My time in the Marine Corps allowed me to expand on this passion as well. I enjoyed the ability to work on high frequency and sophisticated systems. Being able to solve the problem of a broken RADAR system by looking over the schematics brought happiness to my day. Recently, I am currently working on a research fellowship at Purdue University regarding the effects of over discharging lithium ion batteries.I'm looking to start my career in control systems or power electronics to expand on the knowledge I've already attained. In both of those fields, I would be able to apply the knowledge attained through education, at Purdue University, and the Marine Corps.
