Current•Provide senior leadership human capital-centered strategies, addressing business and process challenges within the Department of Public Instruction.•Collaborate with the Chief of Staff, CFO, HR Director, and Executive Council to drive agency-wide business models and strategic initiatives.•Lead the design and implementation of business strategies aligned with departmental objectives to optimize organizational efficiency and impact.•Drive change management by developing and implementing HR, finance, and department-wide policies that support NCDPI’s business goals.•Partner with HR and Financial Services leaders to align employee performance and experience with organizational objectives.•Influence and negotiate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and Executive Council members, to achieve key business outcomes.•Analyze data from diverse sources to synthesize insights, guiding executive decision-making and adapting strategies to evolving priorities.•Create innovative solutions to complex business challenges, fostering new directions that support the agency’s mission.•Direct a team of 26, including Business Officers across divisions, ensuring alignment with agency-wide goals and operational consistency.•Serve as the authority for business services across the agency, leading Business Operations teams to achieve accountability and efficiency.•Establish strategic vision for Business Operations, coordinating efforts with senior leaders to ensure seamless operations across units.•Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, building trust with stakeholders across state government entities.•Foster positive, collaborative relationships within a complex organizational environment, ensuring effective engagement with key stakeholders.•Assess and optimize systems and processes, driving impactful changes that enhance organizational design and efficiency.
