As a Group Leader at Dstl, I lead teams of talented scientists and engineers across the UK, delivering cutting edge science and technology for national defence and security. I have over ten years of experience in science and technology leadership, and I am a Chartered Manager with a strong focus on people and capability development.I am passionate about advancing the fields of aerospace and autonomous systems, and I have successfully led and participated in several international collaborations and challenges. For example, I led the UK event of the first AI Drone Hackathon Challenge between UK and US government laboratories, which resulted in a thrilling and impactful outcome in March 2019. I am also currently leading a major change management project within Dstl, aiming to improve the organisation's efficiency and effectiveness. I am a dynamic, engaging, and inspiring leader who can communicate and collaborate with technical and non-technical groups alike.
