Director,Treasury Risk
During my tenure at NCO, I served as a cross-functional and international leader to the members of our team while partnering with executives, management and staff to ensure our products supported our continually shifting strategy and goals. As our industry focuses on the ever-changing and complex elements of the payments ecosystem and we were faced with significant competition, my primary accountabilities were to oversee, recommend, and implement all policies, strategies, and analytics that mitigate loss, cost, and fraud. Being charged with leading critical implementations, under compressed timelines, was a common factor in achieving success. A few notable initiatives includes leading a major business transformation for the Treasury and Finance Line of businesses integrating CRM, ERP, Call Center (such as scripting, collections, and taking payments), as well as related accounting and reconciliation elements, chargebacks, underwriting, risk and issue resolution, and compliance matters (OFAC, PCI-DSS, AML, NACHA, etc.) My additional accountabilities also included managing relationships with external and internal stakeholders, 3rd party business partners and vendor SLAs, technology professionals related to payment and issuance processing applications, and channel (IVR, Mobile, Apps, eCommerce, etc.) touch points and operations. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of merging and optimizing of the business processes, revenue and cost reduction, sharing and participating in evolving the culture as well as being able to experience the development of team members and colleagues, and sharing successes that spread throughout the organization. We developed the expertise necessary to enable profound organizational change as we navigated mergers and acquisitions, changing focus and/or strategies in the marketplace and certainly of equal importance, we learned what not to do.
