Extensive experience in electrical engineering, cost estimating and project management for the cement and minerals industries, and have been involved at various stages of design, construction, and commissioning of seven cement kiln lines. Additionally, experience in identifying cost savings opportunities through analyzing electrical power consumption and recommending attractive projects to aid in reduction of operating costs.Significant electrical power distribution, controls, and instrumentation design experience, for new and retrofit projects, associated with the following processes and equipment: • Bulk material handling, storage, and distribution systems utilizing common equipment such as: screw, belt, air gravity, and pneumatic conveyors, bucket elevators, storage silos, weigh bins, fabric filters, and railcar and bulk truck loading and unloading systems.• Raw material weighing, dosing, grinding, and blending systems utilizing specialized equipment such as: loss-in-weight, volumetric, and gravimetric feeders, horizontal ball mills, vertical roller mills, and aerated homogenization systems.• Pyroprocessing applications equipment such as: induced draft fans, rotary kilns, multi-stage cyclone preheaters, calciners, direct/in-direct pulverized fuel firing systems, grate coolers, air-to-air heat exchangers, gas analyzers, and multi-compartment process baghouses.• Highly experienced in field checkout and startup of electrical systems, equipment, and instrumentation, including commissioning support for process and mechanical equipment.• Experienced in configuration, programming, and setup of GE Multilin Protective Relays for medium voltage (5kV) feeder, transformer, and motor protection.• Experienced in configuration, programming, and commissioning of Allen-Bradley automation equipment including SLC-500 and PLC-5 PLC’s, PanelView operator interfaces, and VFD’s.Specialties: SKM PowerTools, AmpCalc, AutoCAD, GE EnerVista
