When HR is at its best, it’s serving people and making sure they know they can look to you for the advice and resources they need.Working as a department of one in the luxury retail industry, I was that go-to for hundreds of stakeholders around the world. I managed inventory, communicated with the supply chain, and learned complicated global shipping systems. I was digging into the details to deliver for clients & employees every day.I had hard, confidential conversations. People knew they could rely on me when things went wrong. If I didn’t know, I would learn and help our stakeholders navigate that process.Now I want to move to an Human Resources Coordinator role to apply these skills to support people. I know what it feels like to go unnoticed and unappreciated. I also know what it feels like when people care. I care.Whether it’s payroll or benefits, customer service for employees, or data-driven deliverables, I know there’s a bottom-line impact on people, and I want to roll up my sleeves and help. With coaching and direction, I can figure out what I don’t already know about the world of HR. I’m always taking courses, pursuing certificates, and networking to continue my learning.
